Praiano’s musical summer continues with a new event dedicated to the elegant and timeless sounds of jazz.
Palazzo Zingone will host a special evening combining the magic of live music with the enchanting atmosphere of one of the most fascinating venues in the area.
Overlooking the sea and immersed in the authentic quietness of Praiano, Palazzo Zingone provides the perfect setting for a jazz concert: an intimate and elegant space where architecture, history, and landscape naturally blend with music.
The evening will feature the Summer Jazz 4et, an ensemble composed of musicians with great experience and artistic sensitivity:
Virginia Sorrentino – vocals
Peppe Plaitano – clarinet and saxophone
Aldo Vigorito – double bass
Lello Petrarca – piano
The project was born from the vision of M° Peppe Plaitano
to bring audiences closer to jazz through a refined yet accessible repertoire, capable of speaking both to jazz enthusiasts and to those who simply wish to be carried away by the evocative power of live music. The concert will be a journey through different eras, styles, and musical cultures, united by the expressive freedom and elegance that are characteristic of the language of jazz.
Throughout the evening, great American standards such as Stompin’ at the Savoy by Benny Goodman, Misty by Erroll Garner, Maria by Leonard Bernstein, and Oh Lady Be Good by George Gershwin will alternate with the warm and enveloping atmospheres of Brazilian bossa nova, featuring The Girl from Ipanema and Chega de Saudade by Antônio Carlos Jobim.
The program will also pay tribute to the Italian musical tradition with iconic songs such as Estate by Bruno Martino and Carina by Fred Buscaglione, reinterpreted in a jazz style through arrangements that highlight all their modernity and charm.
“Note Blu a Palazzo Zingone” will be much more than a concert: an immersive experience of music, atmosphere, and shared emotions.
